• ROLLING: By rolling your clothes, you crease them less. The fabric should recover by shaking it out. See illustrations.
• OVERNIGHT BUSINESS TRIP: If you are only taking a few things, you will not need to use all the bags. You can use them for cushioning.
• LONGER TRIPS: Wear the biggest and bulkiest shoes, coats, etc. and pack the smaller items. Put rolled socks inside the packed shoes.
• SHIRTS: Follow the illustrations. I recommend the red bag.
• PANTS: Fold pants lengthwise to reduce the waistline and width to about 10” Then starting at the knees and begin rolling with a double folded t-shirt or socks in the core.
• COATS: If you are packing a sport or suit coat, roll it by double folding lengthwise so that the liner is showing and the sleeves are inside. Arrange the sleeves so they lay flat. Use another piece of clothing as the core and roll it up inside a RED pouch.

Color Coded Pouches…

• GREEN (1) 9.5” wide and 8” long x 3” deep. This is the bottom pouch because its shape fits forward of the wheels. Pack with socks, t-shirts, underwear.

• RED (2) 9.5” wide and 10.5” long x 5” deep. Pack with sweaters, shoes, stack of shirts, or pants.

• BLUE (1) 9.5” wide and 3” long x 3” deep. Pack with slacks, shorts, socks, PJs, etc.

• ORANGE (1) – 9.5” wide and 10.5” long x 2” deep. Pack with socks, underwear, tie’s, gloves, belts.

TSA Tips…

• TSA is very persnickety about only allowing 3oz bottles. It does not matter if you have 1oz in a 5oz bottle TSA won’t allow it. I suggest you purchase a complete set of 3oz. samples sizes, or take the ones that you get on your next hotel stay (if 3oz bottles) and leave them in the TSA clear pouch.
• Squeeze out the air, tighten the caps so the change in atmospheric pressure doesn’t burst your lotion or toothpaste.
• Don’t forget to take the pouch out of your Zuca before it is screened.

Chocolate should be wrapped tightly and kept in a cool, dry place with a temperature ranging from 60 degrees – 75 degrees F. When you receive our chocolate bars they are inside plastic that keeps out moisture. If you remove the bar from the plastic to cut off pieces, wrap the bar with a clear wrap that forces air out.

If your storage temperature exceeds 75 degrees F, some of the cocoa butter may rise to the surface, causing the chocolate to develop a whitish cast, known as “bloom.” The chocolate will still be fine to eat. Do not discard chocolate that has a ‘bloom”.

Blooming of chocolate products is the most common problem you will encounter in the world of chocolate. There are two forms of bloom”: fat bloom and sugar bloom. To prevent bloom, it is important not to expose chocolate to wide fluctuations in temperature; instead, make all temperature changes gradually. Although it may look unpleasant, bloomed chocolate is fine to eat.

Fat bloom is the visible accumulation of large cocoa butter crystals on the chocolate surface. It is often accompanied by numerous minute cracks that dull the appearance of the chocolate.

Sugar bloom is a crystallization of sugar that is often caused by high humidity and the formation of condensate (“sweating”) when cold product is brought into a warm area.

To differentiate between fat and sugar blooms, fat bloom will feel oily and melt when touched, while sugar bloom will feel grainy to the touch.

In hot climates or during the summer, chocolate can be stored in the refrigerator, although this isn’t ideal as the chocolate may absorb odors from other foods.  Dark chocolate actually improves with age, like a fine wine, if stored in an airtight container at 60 degrees - 65 degrees F.

Many cigar smokers are probably contemplating how to make sure their holiday stogies don’t “go-bad” before they’ve had a chance to smoke them.  I simply can’t stress this enough: If you buy and smoke cigars, your best option is to store them in a cigar humidor.  There are other less-effective methods, but why stress yourself out.  If you plan on becoming an avid cigar smoker, plan on
getting a good humidor to save yourself time and money!

Cigar History:

Keep in mind that tobacco is primarily grown in semi-tropical conditions.  The storage system the best replicates those conditions are as follows:

• Temperate warm temperatures ( About 70 Degrees )
• Mild Moistness ( Without them being drenched in too damp of conditions, you don’t want them to spoil )
• 70 % humidity should do it
• Make sure there is no outside influences that might want to get in on the cigar party ( No tobacco beetles please!)

Cigars that come from a humidor will last. Those that don’t, won’t.

It really is that simple.

Newly bought cigars should be fresh from the humidor in a plastic material wrapping.

Keep them tight.  We recommend smoking them within about 30 days if you aren’t going to use your own storage facility, room or humidor.

Be sure to store them in a relatively dry part of the house. For starters, you can add a slightly moistened paper towel to create the effect of tropical humidity levels in a plastic bag or Ziploc bag. (Make sure it’s completely sealed and we talking just barely damp, no water dripping or leaking out the bag please!)
